Well it's that time! Off on the road for a month of tours starting on Friday with the amazing 11-day Great European Beer Tour starting (Friday 11-Monday 21 September 2009).

Franconia & Annafest 2009 (SB-090723) Tour Photos

We have now finally got the photos online from our 9-day Franconia & Annafest 2009 tour from Thursday 34 July-Friday 01 August.
We went just about everywhere! Where then Andy? Email us!
So what was the most memorable part of the tour for me? I think, a lady who is over '70' years old, doesn't like beer....and ending up driking beer every day and enjoying it, just see the photos for yourselves!

Great European Beer Tour/Oktoberfest 2009

Proposed Itinerary
The Proposed Itinerary for THE Great European Beer Tour/Oktoberfest 2009 is now out.

This really is the tour of all tours! 3 countries in 11 days, we even take in Munich’s famous Oktoberfest at the end with our reserved tent reservation at Hacker-Pschorr.
We take you from the oldest known remains of a brewery in Europe in Kulmbach (no longer functionaing!), through the amazing ‘Zoigl Land' (Zoigl at Wolframstuberln) and into the Czech Republic and the home of Pilsner beer.
The it is Budweis, Salzburg, the Alps and ending in Munich's Oktoberfest!

Yipee, we're off next week for 11 days on April's beer tour to the Czech region of Bohemia and the German regions of the Oberpfalz and Franken.
Dates
The 10-day »Bohemia and Franconia Special« Beer Tour TM is officially from Friday 11-Sunday 20 April 2008.
The tour actually starts when we pick-up in Venlo, Frankfurt and Nuremberg Airports on Thursday 10 April, this is a 'Training Day' with the night in Josef Schneider's brewery guesthouse on the Altmühltal!

Bohemia Czech Special

Yep, we know we have taken you from Franconia to Flanders and back to Czech, bit of travel broadens the mind!
The Bohemia Beer Zone. Think small country breweries, dark beer, light beer, strange cars still on the road, will the real Buddy Budweiser please stand up, please stand up?
Throw in a night in Zoigl country (if you say 'what's Zoigl?' then get on a tour!), a night in a brewery guesthouse in the Bavarian Forest then think you get the picture.
You may be thinking 'but the tours in Germany as well', hey, like we said, beer doesn't understand borders!

The »Bohemia Czech Special« is a 5-night/6-day tour taking in the beer culture, pivovars (breweries), pivnices (pubs) and other sites in the Bohemian region between Ceske Budejovice (Budweis), Prague and Plzen (Pilsen), this tour really is awesome!

Locations range from Eggenberg, Budweis, Regent, Platan, Lipan, Zvikov, Herold and many many more!

Ceske Budejovice main square. Gorgeous main square, countless little pivnices (pubs) are on the back streets as well!



Ceske Budejovice Pivovar brew house. Although Budweis is of course not the only brewery in Bohemia, it is one of the largest and best known. There is an excellent visitors centre at the brewery with the tours even taking in some beer from the lagering tanks! Awesome, if you're not driving.
